Essential Question(s) or Theme(s)
How can art/film promote healthy, inclusive communities?

Description
Students learned creative and technical skills in storytelling and filmmaking through weekly workshops with community partner Outside the Frame and created a film highlighting the unqiue ways their alternative high school created a welcoming, inclusive community. They developed questions, conducted and filmed interviews with staff, students, and community members, and edited the footage. The final product was screened in an all-school assembly. One student earned an internship with Outside the Frame as a result of the project.
