Description
Students worked with Wind & Oar Boat School to build a Phoenix III sailboat for a client. Alongside master boat builders, students learned the math and problem-solving skills to build a classic wooden boat. Students learned the forestry needed to understand the natural resources required to create products such as sailboats.

Reflections
This project was paused during the pandemic. Students resumed work in December of 2020 and hope to complete a seaworthy boat by the end of the 2021-22 school year.
