PREP development was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education’s Education Innovation and Research (EIR) program through a five-year, $3.9 million early-phase grant awarded to PPS in October, 2017. EIR is designed to generate and validate solutions to persistent educational challenges and to support the expansion of effective solutions to serve substantially larger numbers of students. Education Northwest served as the independent evaluation partner for the PREP grant. PREP also received funding from the Oregon state Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Department of Education (ODE).
